Select Pricing: Database Pricing Options
The fields in this window allow you to adjust the prices of the items you are integrating to more accurately reflect those in the area in which you purchase and install your materials.
Items in this window
RSMeans Standard National Average Pricing (set all fields to 100%)
Select this option to use the national average for all item prices. All fields in the Cost Index Table are set to 100%. When you select this option, all city cost indexes are imported for use with Sage Estimating’s cost index feature.
RSMeans City Cost Index
Select this option to use a set of city cost indexes based on the state and city you specify in the fields that appear. When you select this option, no cost indexes are imported for use in Sage Estimating.
Note: Means City Cost Indexes are not available for all cities and states in the U.S. and Canada.
State
This field appears when you choose to use a city cost index to calculate item prices. From the drop down box, select the desired state.
City
This field appears when you choose to use a city cost index to calculate item prices. From the drop down box, select the desired city. The city's adjustment factors appear in the Cost Index Table.
Cost Index Table
This table lists the adjustment factors by which Means integrator determines item prices. These adjustment factors are organized by CSI divisions and are expressed in percentages.
Tips:
- You can modify any of the displayed adjustment factors by clicking in the cell of the percentage you wish to change and entering a new number. You can enter a minimum percentage of 0.0 and a maximum percentage of 1000.0. Means Integrator saves the factors you enter and displays the word modified after the city name.
- You can cut, copy, and paste in the Cost Index Table.
- To enter the same percentage for several adjustment factors, choose Fill Down on the shortcut menu.
